STUDY TOURS

Atherton State High School hosts many study tour groups from 1 day visits to 10 day homestay visits.

During these visits students participate in cultural activities such as art, drama, manual arts and music.

They also take part in sporting activities such as futsal, basketball and cricket.

We have a guided tour of our school campus for the day visitors which includes the Manual Arts, Hospitality, Music department, the Arts and the Agriculture department where most students get to pat the cows, goats and the school cat.

Our longer staying visitors are involved with english lessons on a daily basis.

Students are generally placed with an "Australian student buddy" to help them gain a greater understanding of the Australian way of life.

Many of the buddies also act as local homestay families for visiting students.
